Dr. Smith began his dental career as a hygienist in 2000, spending 15 years in a periodontal and orofacial pain practice. This experience sparked a passion for advanced dental care and led him to complete a bachelor’s degree in biology at the University at Albany, followed by a Doctor of Dental Surgery (DDS) degree from the University at Buffalo through the Army Health Professions Scholarship Program.

He completed an AEGD residency at Fort Campbell and later an Endodontic Residency at Fort Bragg. Dr. Smith is proud to have recently achieved board certification in endodontics, a distinction that reflects his dedication, expertise, and commitment to excellence in the field.

Today, Dr. Smith serves as an associate professor of endodontics at the Fort Campbell AEGD program and practices full-time with the U.S. Army and Elite Endodontics.

Outside of dentistry, he enjoys riding his motorcycles, woodworking, and spending time with his wife and young son exploring all things Tennessee.
